A Conversation I had Years Ago with Feiglin Sheds Light on Greece

I remember it was April 28, 2010. Happens to be the Gregorian date of my Savta Betty’s Yahrzeit. The last time I wrote a post about her it was for when my daughter Dafna Betty was born. A lot has happened since then. I said there that if I had a son I’d call him Fry, and I did have a son, thank God, and I called him Fry (Efraim), after Phillip J. Fry my favorite cartoon character, and Avraham, after my Sabba. Since then I also now have a niece named Lila, which is close enough to Leela from the same cartoon, so there’s now Fry and Lila, which is almost perfect.

But anyway, on April 28, 2010, I was finally released from prison, AKA the army, after six months of wasted time. The very next day, I went to Herzliya to hang out with Shmuel Sackett in front of the Herzliya Likud branch. It was a Likud central committee vote about postponing the Central Committee elections. All that seems so remote now as I couldn’t give a crap about Likud anymore.

To the point finally, I love ramble writing. We lost that vote. Moshe Feiglin was considering leaving the Likud then. We spoke for a few minutes a few days later and he said to me something like this:

“Look if we leave Likud, Netanyahu will have a party, Ketzaleh (then head of the extreme right wing National Union party) will celebrate, but one thing will remain: Reality. And the reality is, we need Jewish leadership.”

And so it is with Greece. I can’t find a single main stream media source that doesn’t baffle you with bullshit about this whole thing. Nothing written in the mainstream says anything about reality.

The reality is, the Greek government wants to spend money, and it has no money, and it can’t get any money. That’s reality. Whatever Tsipras and Varoufakis and the rest of those wacknut clowns claim is “just” and “fair” and whatever other label they want to put on it, there’s nothing left. They spent it all. That’s it.

Money may be fiat these days, but it still represents tangible wealth, of which there is only a finite amount that cannot be printed into existence. It has to be produced. And government doesn’t produce anything. The only tangible things it produces are designed to destroy wealth, like armies and weapons. And spies and drones and prisons.

So however long this drags out, reality will remain. Greece wants to spend money that it does not have. After all the games and all the tricks and all the blabbering about justice and fairness and values and morality and all the other crap pulled out of Greek politician’s asses, it’s either there or it isn’t, and it just ain’t there.

The reality is, Greece will default. And further out, all governments going deeper and deeper into debt will default. It’s simply reality. It cannot be stopped by sophistry and Orwellian equivocation and fancy meaningless language fed to the mainstream media. No one, nothing, can stop it.

And once it starts, the dominoes will fall very quickly. Reality will always stand in the way of bullshit. No exceptions.

Why Feiglin Left the Likud Davka Now

I’m going to try to make this short and still pack a punch. Really, this is something that you either get, or you don’t. Hopefully my words will help you “get” it, but I’m not sure they will. I will attach what Moshe himself put on his Facebook page. I’m not in a mood to translate this right now, so if you need to, fling it through Google Translate and you’ll get a basic if mangled idea of the point. Moshe did not write this post, but shared someone else’s, meaning he agrees with it.

The very short version is that for years, Moshe never left the Likud despite being pushed out numerous times, because those times were before he ever held any significant position, i.e., made it into the Knesset. The logic being that before anyone sees him in action, they fear him and therefore push him out because they think he’s “extremist”, but when he makes it in, they will stop fighting him because they will see that he stands for something real and holistic, and he can climb up from there.

The fact that virtually every single Knesset member, even and especially the ones we supported in the past and were considered in “our camp”, turned on us, worked together with Bibi to keep Moshe out, simply means they will never, ever accept him, so there’s really nothing left to be done there. Even if he stayed, it would serve no purpose but to waste precious time. I will add, the purpose of the Likud was to get the nation to know who Moshe is and understand him as a potential leader. That purpose has been served. The people, the average Israeli, understands he’s something else. Not another Ben Ari, not another National Union, not another right wing angry at Arabs guy. Now it’s time to see if the nation will follow on its own, without the Likud brand name. That really is the only choice from here.

The next move is to present ourselves to the people directly. And we will. And God willing, we will win.

On a purely political level, Likud is going down. They won’t get 20 seats. The party is over, literally and figuratively, there’s nothing interesting left in it, and nothing that can raise it up again. The next government will barely rise if at all, and the 20th Knesset will be the most fractured ever. The government will not last a year. When it falls, we will be there with an alternative. And maybe, even I will run on the list. Maybe.

LIKUD DOWN to 20, The Fall Begins!

One poll one poll. I know. If you’ve been following Feiglin’s posts since he left Likud, he’s now unhinged, and it’s beautiful. I love it. He can now directly attack Netanyahu, and it’s a big relief.

On my side of things, I can now unleash all the nausea of being part of the Likud Party, which I loathed from the very beginning. Those who don’t know me can say I’m just a turncoat who signed up a bunch of people but when things didn’t go my way I soured. But those who know me know how gross politics makes me feel and the burden on my shoulders being part of this political game.

So now I can root for all the Likud politicians, from the less nauseous Hotobeli and Levin to all the way to Dichter and HaNegbi, to all go down with the ship. Hotobeli and Levin were never with us, they only used us. Levin was actually part of the deal to push Moshe out of the Knesset.

But anyway, the point is, Likud is starting to fall in the polls. It is now down to 20 seats, compared with Labor’s 24. Bayit Yehudi is up to 16. Bennett, since he’s basically the exact same thing as Netanyahu but worse because he wears a kippah and that disarms people into thinking he’s good, could actually end up beating Bibi. That would be the best case scenario, because then Likud would pretty much be a dead man walking and nobody can bring it back.

Here’s the paragraph:

The poll, shown on channel 10 this evening, shows that Labor-Tnua gets 24 seats, one more than it got last December. The Likud gets 20 seats – one less than two weeks ago. The third largest party is Bayit Yehudi with 16 seats, and after that Yesh Atid and Kulanu with 10 each. Meretz has 6, and Yisrael Beteinu 5.

The only strength Likud has now that Moshe is out is Bibi. And the only thing that makes Bibi strong is his familiarity. If Bibi loses, nobody will regain that for the party, forget it. It’s gone. Likud as a political force is finished.

So far one poll at 20, with two whole months to go. You’ll see the trend start to go down by the week. If polls say by March that Likud gets 17-18 seats, it will end up with 15-16 or less. It always underperforms at election time. Perhaps equally satisfying is that Lieberman is dead, too. 5 seats is even less than Meretz.

Netanyahu is out. Meanwhile, we’re building our Medina Yehudit party. We’ll be ready by the time this spit-glued government, if it even forms, disintegrates within months.

Feiglinites, It’s time to Separate the Men from the Boys

Writer’s stream of consciousness follows! Reader beware…

Alright, this post has been a long time coming but I’m fired up as all hell. I’m totally psyched to leave Likud, I feel invigorated and awesome, and RELIEVED that I don’t have to deal with Netanyahu’s bullshit anymore, or anyone else in that cesspool of political poisonous slime. No more looking at Likudnik.co.il, no more arguing with fellow Likudniks about Moshe, no more of this crazy whacknut disgusting crap about the Likud Constitution and going to court and getting mitpakdim and blah blah blah all this politics has been driving me mad since I joined up!

It’s done! Sweep it aside! Let all the politicians, from the ones in the Knesset to the ones in the Mercaz to the ones that are just Likud Members that spend their free time analysing the moves of asinine schmucks have their little baseball diamond and WE will move forward to the nation itself, the ones in the stands! The bleachers outnumber the players what, 2000:1 on on average day?

Everyone from Tzipi Hotoveli, who I ALMOST respect, but not quite, to Tzachi HaNegbi, who I love with all my heart and sarcasm the depths of which I have never anchored so DEEPLY, to Binyamin Netanyahu. I love you man. You are the most wonderful POLITICIAN I have ever had the honor to fight. Really, on the political front, there is no better one than you. You are an absolute master at politics. As the ancient Greeks used to say, may you live forever. We are nothing but a bunch of amateurs running on “principles” that don’t “break”. There is a lot of sarcasm in this post, but I mean that seriously. You, Bibi, are the best politician in all of Israel, ever, bar none. And you beat us.

Too bad for you that most Israelis hate politicians, and when presented with an alternative, will abandon you with zero hesitation.

But all that is not the purpose of this post! Not at all!

Here’s the point people. It’s time to separate the men from the boys. Or in relevant terms, it’s time to separate the fake Feiglinites from the real Feiglinites. In other other words, it is time to separate the petty racist Arab-hating nationalist right wingers from the true liberty lovers, those who hold freedom close to their hearts and believe in the right to live without being forced into one way of life or another.

Being a Jewish nationalist is great. I am one as well. But I am only a nationalist insofar as I believe Jews have a religious obligation to voluntarily do Jewish things like live in Israel, visit Har Habayit, give Tzedaka, keep Shabbat an Kashrut etc.

Feiglinites who are pissed that Moshe is leaving without joining any other “right wing” party, as I predicted in a previous post and which turned out to be true: Why are you so angry?

Because there are, and always have been, two types of Moshe Feiglin supporters, until now. The first are the petty nationalist “Right Wingers” who believed, until now, that Moshe is just another Michael Ben Ari, no matter how many times he’s said he is not. Moshe is NOT simply a Jewish supremacist who hates Arabs and really wants them expelled, and is just using Likud as a tactic, and is essentially the same is all the other “Right Wingers”.

Now, when push comes to shove, when he has to make a move because the Likud tactic is over, the Right Wing Jewish Supremacists who thought Moshe was only about Right Wing Jewish Supremacy with a different tactic, are all expecting him to join another right wing party and “unite the right”.

But that is not what he is doing, and now they’re all pissed as hell and can’t understand why we don’t join with Ben Ari, Bennett, Yishai, or the other “right wingers” that stand for NOTHING BUT POLITICS. Which group to give tax money to, settlers or NGO’s, how much, and other gross nonsense. Some people just never learn.

And that’s all well and good, because we were never going to get to the Prime Minister’s office with the support of a bunch of Right Wingers.

Moshe is, and always has been, the Liberty candidate. The one who stands for freedom. Most right wingers have this infantile fantasy of a Right Winger forcing Torah on everyone. They should leave. We don’t need them anymore because we are not in Likud, and we are going after the young people now. All over the country. Secular, religious, Haredi, it doesn’t make a bit of difference.

We have exited the Likud womb, as Moshe said in his speech, and gone out into the world of the majority of Israelis, who want a place to live at a reasonable cost, the government off their backs, and freedom to do what they want, and we trust in God that they want to be Jews.

It’s time to separate, for real, from the so-called “Right Wing” and become the true Liberty Wing that we’ve always been, that only a few people have ever realized until now. Shed the right wingers and bring in the young people. They will come.

And the funny thing is, when the right wingers see that Moshe is winning in the polls, even they will come back and vote for Moshe Feiglin when push comes to shove.

Now let’s move forward.

According to Shai Galili, Moshe Feiglin is Still Running for Likud Chairman

Again from News1, Galili responding to some other lawyer’s claim that Netanyahu did nothing wrong:

Your claim is unacceptable. First, because even if it was permitted for party workers to help with a Chairman’s primary campaign or not, it is irrelevant to the fact that it is “forbidden help” from the party to Mr. Netanyahu insofar as he is a “candidate”. Whereas, other candidates that are still (until today) officially listed as candidates, like Mr. Moshe Feiglin, Mr. Yoav Kish, and Mr. Danny Danon, were not able to hire party workers for this purpose that would help them with their primary campaigns equally or at all, and therefore, according to the Parties Law, this is considered “forbidden help” for all intents and purposes.

Grab another bowl of popcorn folks, because here is Galili’s words on sending Netanyahu to prison:

Shai Galili threatens to send Netanyahu to prison

Because of this, and without any choice given the current circumstances, I must exercise my authority according to section 28 of the Political Parties Law, and advise the disqualification of your client’s candidacy (Mr. Netanyahu) in the upcoming primaries on December 31.

Only due to “Do not place a stumbling block before the blind” (Leviticus 19:14) I will point out that my decision is being given from my statutory and official authority from the Political Parties Law. That said, I ask you to turn your client’s attention to the fact that ignoring my order could be considered a violation of section 287 of the Punitive Code of 1977:

He who defies a lawful order given by a court or bureaucrat or a person acting in an official manner under proper authority is subject to a 2 year prison sentence.

I would appreciate confirmation of your receipt of this letter.

Sincerely,

Shai Galili, Esq.

What a world, eh?

Feiglin Drops Out, and Why I am Now $100 Richer

I was as surprised as anyone else when I saw the news this morning that Feiglin dropped out of the race for Likud chairman to focus on getting a top 10 spot on the Knesset list. I spoke with him this morning for a few minutes and while I don’t agree with the decision, there is something cooking. That’s all I will say. This happened after a 5-judge panel on the Likud court accepted Netanyahu’s appeal to unite the Knesset list and chairmanship races on the same day, despite this being against the Likud constitution. Any American libertarian will know how useless constitutions are in terms of stopping government power anyway.

Here’s what I think goes down from here. First, speaking for myself, I will not be voting for any party in the general elections on March 17th. I will be taking a trip to Bnei Brak that morning to visit the Satmars along with a fellow non-voting Satmar friend of mine, hand in my Teudat Zehut and driver’s license, and take the $100 promised me by Teitelbaum not to vote. So will my wife, and $200 is not bad for a day’s not-voting. I wasn’t going to vote anyway even without the money. The money is just an extra perk I may as well take.

Say what you want about the Satmar and I certainly do not subscribe to their lifestyle, but they do not accept government money. They and I are on the same wavelength there, and I highly respect them for that.

I refuse to vote for my own slavemaster. I will also not vote against Likud out of respect for Moshe.

Though I will be voting for Moshe Feiglin, Amir Weitmann, and Shay Malka for the Knesset list in the primaries on December 31. I will fill the rest of the slate with no-name candidates with no chance. I will not vote for any incumbents, period, not Yariv Levin, not Hotobeli, not Danon, not Edelstein, nobody, nor anybody that Manhigut Yehudit makes any deal with. Forget it. I’m sick of the games. As for Likud Chairman, I will write in none other than Ron Paul, just because.

Beyond that, my not voting it is a tactical move. Bibi has to lose these elections. He cannot be Prime Minister again. When he loses, he will be blamed, and rightly so. He will then resign, following which Feiglin will run, and win. A monetary crisis will arise, new elections will be called, and in the midst of the crisis he will take the reigns. I hope I’m right. I am not a profit.

I only hope that this is not a case of what happened in this week’s Parasha.

Why did it take two years? Because Yosef lacked faith and asked the butler for a favor. I would have liked to see Moshe run anyway, even if it risked his Knesset seat, because in my opinion it doesn’t matter if he gets into the Knesset or not this time.

And that’s OK. Because what matters now is that Netanyahu goes down. His time is up.

Back to the Four Blood Moons, an Election Prediction

Let’s get bold. Go big or go home. And let’s keep in mind that this is just a game, and I could be wrong. (In other words, let’s hedge some bets.)

I wrote a little ditty about the four blood moons a while back and it’s been getting a lot of traffic. People are interested in it apparently. Disclaimer, I find it interesting and possibly credible, but I’m not holding my breath and I reserve the doubt that it could be nothing. So in the spirit of the four blood moons, here’s my prediction for the upcoming elections.

According to Jewish blood moon theory, a term I have just coined, something big is supposed to happen around Sukkot. That’s about 9 months away. Elections are on March 17, which is 6 months away from Sukkot. The minimum space between general elections has to be at least 3 months.

Therefore, if the big change does mean that Feiglin will be elected by Sukkot, that means this time he will get very close to winning the upcoming Likud primaries, but Netanyahu will eek out a victory. Since Israelis are so freaking tired of Netanyahu, Likud will not do too well in the generals. Netanyahu will either cobble together a hodge-podge government, barely, or he will not be prime minister at all. If he cobbles together a coalition, it will fall within 3 months. If he doesn’t, and he is not prime minister, he will resign just as many other would-be prime ministers have from the heads of their respective parties, and once again there will be primaries for Likud chairman.

Feiglin will win those easily, or else he will win the ones that happen after Netanyahu’s 3-month government falls sometime around summer 2015.

In either case, we will have Moshe as head of Likud before the last blood moon appears on Sukkot. This time it’ll be a good run, but not yet.

Let’s see what happens.

Chief Copper Danino Says Feiglin Should be Prohibited from Going to Temple Mount

In a fit stupidity, Yochanan Danino, the pudgy government bureaucrat charged with a monopoly on the security market, said today that Moshe Feiglin should not be allowed up to Har Habayit in the name of “maintaining the status quo”.

“We say, forget the Temple Mount!”

I say, I wonder what Danino said at his wedding under the chuppah right before he broke the glass. It was probably something like:

Forget thee, Oh Jerusalem, and may my right hand wither!

Let my tongue stick to the roof of my mouth if I ever dare to remember you!

If I have the audacity to place Jerusalem at the peak of my happiness!

*SMASH*

Mazel Tov!

I can’t wait for this man to be fired when Moshe is elected Prime Minister. Then we will all forget thee, oh Yochanan Danino, bureaucrat.

Feiglin takes a Shot Across Netanyahu and Danon’s Bow

Here’s the background:

Last week there was a big meeting of the Likud Central Committee in Tel Aviv. They were there to set the primary day agreed upon by Danny Danon and Benjamin Netanyahu to be January 6. Danon is the Central Committee Chairman.

Moshe Feiglin, playing the game, got up at the meeting of 3,000 people and submitted a motion to limit the primaries to stand for 6 months assuming no new general elections are called within that time frame. Primaries would then happen again before the next general elections. That would prevent Netanyahu from simply grabbing the crown now and using it as a blank check for the next 2-3 years to do whatever he wants.

The media was shocked and awed, but Feiglin’s motion actually passed by a wide majority. However, Danon basically ignored the vote, probably because he has a backroom deal with Bibi to team up against Feiglin in exchange for some petty crony position or other. Below is a video, in Hebrew, of Feiglin’s motion passing and Danon making up an excuse why it didn’t really pass. In his words, “People voted for both sides,” so the vote was “void”.

Besides that mess, Feiglin came off a total superstar during the meeting. I was not there as I am not a central committee member, but from what I hear he totally owned the place. Here’s a piece from Ynet about what went down that night and how Feiglin had to calm his supporters down not to jeer Netanyahu when he came up to speak. (The part about Rav Kahane is just stupid fluff having nothing to do with anything, but the media always has to bring up Kahane when Feiglin wins a battle in Likud.)

Here’s the video. Even if you don’t understand Hebrew, it is clear who’s the rock star here and who’s the zhlub.

So, a few days ago some crony lawyer name Something HaLevi wrote a letter to some other crony that Feiglin’s motion is illegal for some technical reason or other. (If you want to know the garbagey details, he wrote that it says in the Likud Constitution that the Chairman will be Likud’s candidate for prime minister, and that means that once he’s chosen, he’s chosen for the next elections no matter how far out they are. This is, of course, bullshit, but blah blah blah, not important, it’s all political theater anyway.)

So now, Feiglin has come out with his response, pretty much slamming Netanyahu and Danon, in public, for being crony schmucks, which they are, and saying that his motion did pass, and to ignore it is illegal.

He basically took a big shot across their bow without taking any legal action (yet), and they are both – Danon and Netanyahu – running against him for Chairmanship of the party.

Here is a translation of Feiglin’s letter:

To:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Likud Chairman

Knesset Member Danny Danon, Likud Central Committee Chairman

The Likud

Concerning: The vote on the motion to limit the validity of the Primaries

After checking the pictures that were published from the Central Committee meeting last Sunday in the matter of my motion, it is quite obvious that my motion got a clear majority. Central Committee Chairman MK Danon’s claim, which he made after losing the open ballot vote twice, that certain Central Committee members were voting twice, has no supporting evidence, and it harms and mocks the Committee members.

The scandalous behavior of Chairman Danon does not end here.

The elections committee decided on November 6 that, in keeping with the recommendation of the Attorney General Avi HaLevi Esq., the vote for moving up the primaries and all the related motions are so important that they should be done by secret ballot today between 10am and 10pm. How and why did this decision evaporate? Why is the vote not now taking place?

It seems, unfortunately, that nothing at all as changed. Decisions are made behind closed doors between the Chairman and his representatives and the Central Committee Chairman. The committee members are simply there to be part of a play. When not all goes according to plan and the committee members do not play the part planned out for them and actually state their preference, you do not respect their decision while using the same dirty tactics we knew in the past.

The opinion that you solicited from Avi HaLevi Esq. where he claims that no vote should take place on my motion, is not worth responding to. If we keep going down that road, we can nullify every Likud Party institution and let HaLevy run the whole show. It’s obvious how much you yourselves disrespect HaLevy’s opinion because you are not holding a secret ballot vote on the Prime Minister’s request move up the primaries, as HaLevy proved must be done, and he even made sure to cite it as a decision of the elections committee.

I hereby declare, clearly and publicly, that my motion to limit the validity of the upcoming primaries to 6 months was accepted by the Central Committee.

I will also add that if we are indeed on the eve of elections as the Prime Minister claims, this unacceptable behavior I previously mentioned, brings up justified anger. The party will be dragged into the courts, instead of just having transparent procedures. This behavior has political consequences that we all will pay for. I call on both of you, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Central Committee Chairman Danny Danon, respect the decision of the Central Committee and its members.

Sincerely,

Moshe Feiglin

Does that mean Feiglin is going to court? I don’t know. He is certainly threatening it. I spoke to him on Friday and he was not sure if it is worth it to do so even though he thinks he can win. We’re winning anyway.

I’m not good at making political decisions, so I have no idea one way or the other if Feiglin should fight here over this issue. But I trust that whatever he decides, God will help us come out on top.

Both Danon and Netanyahu are going down in the end. They are nothing but petty politicians. Moshe Feiglin is the only man running.
