ADL Bitches over Ben Carson Gun Control Holocaust Comments

Another instance of the Anti Defamation League being an inane asinine organization that should be shut down because it gives Jews a bad name. Ben Carson, the Republican presidential candidate who I do not like, said something correct. Namely, that had there been no gun control laws in Germany, the Jews could have better defended themselves against the Nazis.

And then the ADL got in a tizzy because that’s all it ever does. This once again proves that the Holocaust is just used as political leverage by Jewish lefty groups to further their own agendas of force on other people.

Because forbidding guns for other people is much more important to lefty Jews than learning the actual lessons of the Holocaust. One of those lessons is, to paraphrase Ghostbusters, “When a government asks you to give up your guns, you say…NO.”

  1. Rafi,
Below is a note I sent to a Jewish friend who sent an anti-Carson news story to me. Like you, I don’t like Carson (I consider him out-of-his-depth in politics), but I don’t think Carson was entirely wrong.

“Playing “what if” is always tricky and contentious. There is really nothing but speculation to go on.

I think Ben Carson only has it partly right. The thinking of the German people was already perverted before guns were removed from Jewish ownership (I believe non-Jews could have guns…need to confirm this). Once you accept, and enthusiastically endorse, the idea of having a “Leader”, and having total faith in government institutions like the police and the military, then having or not having guns is irrelevant.

If, however, you reject the idea that you are a subject of your government, and tenaciously cling to your right to live without government interference, then you wouldn’t give up your guns in the first place. Any attempt by Hitler to rule Germany by decree and police/military force would have failed because the People, armed with guns AND an independent mind-set, would have been able to resist. Having guns without the will to resist tyranny is impotent. Having the will to resist means never giving up your guns in the first place.

I think the Jewish groups ought to give Carson some slack on this because he is half right and they are half wrong. The Democratic congressman (senator?) who was slamming Carson is also calling for more gun control and more faith in government power. That is a toxic brew.

I think we are going down the same road as the Germans. All it will take is a nasty economic event, some real hardship and hunger, and a strongman will appear (that’s why Trump makes me nervous), and then he/she will find a scapegoat. I think it will be the immigrants, or the Muslims, or business, or the Tea Party, or gun owners. As a country, most of our fellow Americans already turn to the government to provide them with housing, food, entertainment, transportation, security, etc., so it is now a very small step for a Leader to blame all our continuing problems on some hated sub-group. Our fellow Americans, armed to the teeth, will be unlikely to defend the targeted population against their Benefactor. Then there will be bloodletting.”

    • Yeah I agree with that. Carson was just saying a soundbite. If Jews had had guns at the time and not been disarmed, the holocaust would have been more difficult to carry out. You need to disarm on the way to a genocide is the point. But the mentality aspect I get and agree with. You can’t get to the point of mass disarmament without first putting full faith in government. I see Trump the same way.
