Greece Proposal Rejected Again as 5.2 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Athens

According to WSJ, Greece’s latest proposal to get its hand on more bailout money was swiftly rejected.

BRUSSELS—A compromise proposal sent by Greece on Tuesday as part of an effort to unlock an impasse with creditors over its bailout program drew a swift and negative response from officials at the European Commission.

President Jean-Claude Juncker told other commissioners at the EU executive arm’s weekly meeting that the proposal appears to backtrack from an agreement on budget targets struck between him and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at a meeting last week, a person familiar with his remarks said.

In the meantime, a 5.2 magnitude earthquake hit Athens this morning.

Foreshadowing.

  1. I have recently discovered a word in Greek named to describe one of the heresies: apokatastasis – was Origen’s idea that God’s plan was to reinstate some primordial order of harmony in the Universe. Origen was first considered a saint then after apokatastasis became a heresy he was removed from the calendar. In late 20th century there is constant pressure in Western Catholic world to reinstate Origen as a saint (hence an attraction for that idea..)
The word to me describes a state of chaotic hope with a revelation contained simply exulting in the state, thus rendering the whole process useless because of its self-referential system.
This to comment the Earthquake usually associated by the direct presence and influence of God (since it’s natural, not mind-projection, it’s always scary even if it’s small, it literally represents a waking up).
I hope that Greece overcomes their apokatastasis and realize this disaster (not really a disaster as a natural phenomena) it’s actually a way out of hell.

  2. Okay, you make a lot of good points, but how many times can you say the sky over Greece is going to fall tomorrow, next week, etc. before it’s just a boy crying wolf?
